Hello, welcome to the company of Marion Van Lier, kiwiberry grower for Hoogstraten since 2012. After marrying another horticulturalist, she joined the business in 1990. Besides the traditional sale of hard fruit in their own farm shop, they also grow plums, cherries and kiwiberries. They have chosen kiwis for their innovative character and attractive price. The growing season for apples and pears is hectic because of the thinning out of the hard fruit. Moreover, harvesting kiwiberries and hard fruits happens simulataneously. It is therefore very important to coordinate the work well and to divide the tasks. After the harvest, the kiwiberries are taken to Coöperatie Hoogstraten where they are sorted and traded. In her spare time, Marion enjoys walking her dog and knitting and crocheting. Enjoy!
