Hello, welcome to the farm of Marion Van Lier, a kiwiberry grower for Hoogstraten since 2012. After marrying a fruit grower, she joined the business in 1990. In addition to the traditional sale of top fruit in their own farm shop, they also grow plums, cherries and kiwiberries. They chose kiwiberries because of their innovative character and attractive price. During the growing season for apples and pears, it is hectic because the thinning of the top fruit also plays a role. Moreover, the harvesting of kiwiberries and top fruit takes place simultaneously. It is therefore very important to coordinate the work well and divide the tasks. After harvesting, the kiwiberries are taken to Coöperatie Hoogstraten where they are sorted and traded. In her spare time, Marion enjoys walking her dog and she is busy with knitting and crocheting. Enjoy your meal!
