Hello, my name is Martijn van Oers and since 2018 I have been working full time at the company of my parents: Joost and Edith van Oers. They started growing beef tomatoes in the year 1989. Because Edith grew up on a strawberry farm, the interest in this cultivation always remained. In 1993, in addition to growing tomatoes, they started growing strawberries in open ground strawberries. After that, soon the greenhouse was also converted for strawberry cultivation. We produce strawberries almost all year round. This is made possible by assimilation lighting in the winter period, growing different varieties and spreading our crops. All our products are grown on substrate and in greenhouses in the most sustainable way possible. We use CHPs to supply the company with its own electricity and heat. We also use biological control agents as much as possible. To keep the quality of the strawberries high, we take care of the propagation and raising of the plant material ourselves. The strawberry varieties we grow are: Sonata, Elsanta and Sonsation. We also carry out trials with ''new'' varieties to keep abreast of what is possible, with this way of working we can serve our customers in the best possible way. Before I started working full time for my parents, I completed my education in business administration at HAS college in Den-Bosch. Enjoy our fruit produced with care and love!
