Hello, I am Marcel Goossens and strawberry grower for Coöperatie Hoogstraten since 2011. After completing my studies at MAS in Tiel, I started working at my parents' farm. This was then a company with apples, pears and strawberries. In 2007 I took over the company and the apples and pears were gradually phased out. Now I grow only strawberries with my family. A working day in season, that means long days where all the work of cultivation is involved. Think of picking, weighing, cultivation measures and planting. After harvesting, our product is taken to CLTV Zundert after which, after inspection, it goes on to Coöperatie Hoogstraten. Here the product is finally sold to the relevant buyer. There is not much free time, because after the season it is quieter, but already a lot of work is done for the next season. Enjoy your meal!
