Hello, I am Marcel Goossens and strawberry grower for Hoogstraten since 2011. After completing my studies at the MAS in Tiel, I started working at my parents' farm. This was then a company with apples, pears and strawberries. In 2007 I took over the company and the apples and pears were gradually phased out. Now I grow only strawberries with my family. A working day in season, that means long days where all the work of cultivation is involved. Think of picking, weighing, cultivation measures and planting. After harvesting, our product is taken to CLTV Zundert where, after inspection, it goes on to Coöperatie Hoogstraten. This is ultimately where the product is sold to the relevant buyer. There is not much free time, because after the season it is quieter, but a lot of work is already done for the next season. Enjoy your meal!
