Anton has been growing strawberries for Hoogstraten since 2004 and does so with passion. He is one of those people who lists "growing strawberries" as one of his hobbies. He's got strawberries on his mind 24/7, with his wife Anja as support. During the picking season, Anton wakes up the rooster instead of the other way round, so that the picking can start at 6 o'clock. By then, Anton already knows exactly how the picking will practically happen. With a number of people at your company, it is necessary to coordinate and plan well every day, otherwise things will go seriously wrong. After picking, all other tasks come up: laying straw, working the soil, maintenance of plants and machines, irrigation, administration. In short, he is often still busy at 10 pm to be able to pick delicious Hoogstraten strawberries the next day.
