Mix the butter, eggs and sugar until smooth.
Add the vanilla sugar and a pinch of salt.
Stir in the ricotta.
Add the flour and baking powder and mix to a smooth batter
Line a springform pan with baking paper and grease the sides with butter.
Pour the cake mixture into the baking pan.
Cut the crowns off the strawberries and halve them.
Place the strawberries in a small bowl, add 1 tbsp flour and shake gently.
Spread the strawberries over the dough.
Put the cake in the oven for about 55 minutes.
If you use a wider baking pan, the baking time will be slightly shorter.
Tip: Set the timer to 45minutes and add additional time if needed.
Sprinkle with powdered sugar.
Serve warm,possibly with a scoop of ice cream.
