- For the tomato salsa, grate the tomato in a small bowl. Season this with salt, pepper and good quality olive oil.
- Cut the ciabatta bread lengthwise. Fry it crispy on both sides in a hot pan with some olive oil.
- When the bread is crusty, cut a garlic clove by 2 and spread both sides with a clove of garlic by rubbing the bread.
- Brush the ciabatta with the tomato salsa and top with the slices of serrano ham. Finally, finish with some fresh basil.
