Thread a strawberry onto each party stick. Place the party picks with strawberry on a sheet of baking paper and place in the freezer for about 30 minutes.
Put the chocolate in a bowl and heat in the microwave (or do it au bain-marie on the stove) in 15-second intervals. Stir it in between each time and repeat until the chocolate is completely melted and smooth.
Then dip the strawberry party picks into the chocolate and place them back in the freezer for about 15 minutes until the chocolate has hardened.
Heat a large amount of sunflower oil in a saucepan (or use a deep fryer) and heat to 160 degrees. While the oil is heating up, you can prepare the pancake batter. To do this, follow the description of the pancake mix or make fresh pancake dough (several recipes can be found on the Internet).
Now dip the party stick into the pancake batter and swirl it around so that the batter is evenly distributed. If the batter is too thin add a little more dry mix to the batter to make it thicker.
Now carefully place the party sticks in the hot sunflower oil (with stick and all). Deep fry these while gently rotating them. Do this until the batter is golden (about 1.5-2 minutes).
Remove them with tongs and place on kitchen paper to drain. Let the strawberry party picks cool for about 5 to 10 minutes to allow the chocolate to harden again. Finally, sprinkle a little powdered sugar on top.
Serve!
